AMAZON INDIA
• Amazon launched Amazon Business which is purely a B2B market place
in year 2017
• Amazon launched online pharmacy in 2018 in US. For this they acquired
PillPack.
• PillPack is a pharmacy designed to provide the best possible customer
experience in the U.S. for people who take multiple daily prescriptions
• Online retail giant Amazon has launched an internet pharmacy in India,
marking its entry into the country's online medicine market.
• Amazon is delivering medicines and herbal remedies in Bangalore.
• Amazon.com Invested 23.10 billion rupees in Amazon Seller service for
strengthening business during lockdown.(July 2020).
• Amazon India to open 10 new fulfilment centers in Delhi, Mumbai,
Bengaluru, Patna, Lucknow, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai, Ludhiana and
Ahmedabad.
• These Fulfilment centers will become operational before festive season
sale.
• it would create 50,000 new seasonal roles in delivery and warehousing.
• Online Food Delivery trials in India.
• Over 91,000 small businesses join Amazon during 2 day Prime Day Sale.

• Reliance 
Reliance acquired companies like Balaji Telefilms (TV content), EdCast (learning
enabler), Embibe (edtech content), Saavn (music content), Radsys (5G
architecture), Eros (TV content), Hathway (broadband), DEN (cable), Haptik
(customer engagement),  Reverie (language processing), Fynd (online shopping),
Tesseract (AR/VR) and Grab (logistics).
• Reliance is in talks of Buying Milkbasket and Urban Ladder.
• Reliance is also close to buy Future Retail Group.
• Recently Reliance acquired Netmeds 60% majority shares.
• Flipkart
• Flipkart also acquired Walmart's Brick and Morter stores to expand its
wholesale business.
• Flipkart is in talks to acquire Healthcare startup like 1mg, PharmEasy, and
Medlife.
