Static Models
• This type of evaluation is usually a form of preliminary analysis.
• In this type of models, the reliability of system components is assumed constant without
considering the time.
• The components’ probability of failure does not vary with time and
components/units/subsystems fail independently.
Series Model
• This is the simplest of all reliability networks. Each block in the figure below represents a
unit/component.
• If any one of the units fails, the system fails, all units must operate normally for the system’s
success.
