Two years after independence, on 14th Sep 1949, Hindi written in
Devanagari script was adopted be the Constituent Assembly of
India as the official language of India.
This is mostly celebrated in the Hindi speaking states.
A government sponsored event in Central government of India
offices, firms, schools and other institutions.

Hindi, uniting a country, that has had a rich linguistic diversity

throughout history.
14th Sep was chosen to be the date for Hindi Diwas, because, it
marks the birthday of Rajendra Sinha, who struggled for many
years for Hindi to be adopted as the official language of India.
However, there is constant criticism and backlash for
promoting Hindi as the only language that represents India.

The earliest form of old Hindi was Apabhramsa.

It has evolved in its present form through Prakrit and Apabhramsa languages.
Hindi grabs fifth position amongst the most spoken languages all over the world.

The derived words of Hindi are classified into 5 major categories: Tatsam,
Adharatatsam , Tadbhav , Deshaj and Videshi
Hindi language is one of the seven languages that can be used to make web
addresses.
