 *Sense organs
*Our eyes, ears, nose, tongue and skin are our
sense organs.
*They help us to see things, hear sounds, smell
things , taste food and feel things.
*Our sense organs help us to
 *EYES
*Eyes help us see things and people around us
.We enjoy seeing this beautiful world.
*Some people cannot see properly, they need to
consult an eye doctor called optician so that he
will give spectacles to them to see things
clearly.
*Some people cannot see things at all. People
who cannot see are called visually challenged.
*They read books that are written in braille.
*Braille is a special type of writing made up of
raised dots on paper.. It can be felt by the
fingers. Now a days we have special computers
for visually challenged.
 * We must take care of our eyes
*Wash your eyes with clean water four to five times
a day.
*Never rub your eyes with dirty towel or dirty hands
as germs may get into your eyes.
*We must read the books in a sufficient light .
*Do not read while lying down as it harms your eyes.
*Do not read in a moving vehicle as it strains your
eyes.
*You may need an eye check-up when you cannot
see things properly.
 *Ears
*We hear with our ears. Every day we hear different kinds of
sounds , these sounds tell us something like the sound of a
thunder, vehicle horn, etc.
*Loud sounds disturb us and also cause noise pollution.
*The people who cannot hear well need a hearing aid to hear
things clearly.
*Some people cannot hear at all, they watch our lip movement
to understand what we say. This is called lip reading.
*Some people cannot speak and hear. They use
sign language to express themselves.

*We must take care of our ears:
*Do not use sharp objects to clean your ears as
they harm your ears.
* Dry your ears with a soft, clean towel after a
bath to keep them clean and dry.
*Avoid water entering your ears to prevent
infection.
*Go to a doctor if you have any earache.
