Observation: PN 273, 423, 276 & 366 are transmitting in this area. DN63XC038 alpha and beta sectors are not in LOS to this location. DN36XC650 is
dominant in this area, so we recommended to remove the far away over shooters to reduce pollution . DN73XC066 beta PN 276 is overshooting from
3rd tier and DN03XC009 gamma PN 366 is overshooting from 2nd tier. Current RET on DN73XC066 beta is 2/4 deg and DN03XC009 gamma is at 3/7
deg. Downtilt both these PN’s by atleast 1 deg.

Over shooter
• Over shooter: Identify over shooters which are transmitting till 3rd or 4th tiers. We recommended to
downtilt the overshooter if dominant PN is already existing in that area. In the below case we didn’t
implement the RET changes because there are no other sites in airport area so we may lose the coverage.
But we did RET change on DN03XC111 PN 255.
DN03XC158 PN 345 DN03XC11

Sector Swap issues
• Sector swap issues: Need to verify the Sector swap by looking at the PN/PCI from drive data.
Check LTE Technology for Sector swap. Open TRAMS ticket and work with EMS FT to fix the issue.

Coverage holes
• Coverage holes: Identify coverage holes and try to improve those areas with the help of RET changes.
Mostly due to challenging terrain issues we are seeing those kind of scenarios. No sector is coming
dominant in this area.

DN25XC004 is a 3 sector
site now but still its
unable to reach this area.

Good Ec & Poor Ec/Io Analysis
• Based on PSTN drive data we did Good Ec vs Poor Ec/Io analysis.
• Good coverage: greater than -95dbm and Poor Ec/Io: less than -14db.
• We identified all the poor Ec/Io areas and provided necessary recommendations to improve them.
• Refer to next slide for review a sample.

Good Ec & Poor Ec/Io Analysis
Area Reason Code Fix Code Analysis
Recommended to implement M. Closest sites DN63XC010 & DN63XC095 are not dominant in this location as a result far away sites
1 are serving this area. DN63XC010 is a PGMR site and DN63XC095 is already at 0 deg tilt. We already
A1 Pollution Uptilt on DN63XC010 & recommended to do Mech. uptilt on both these sites to improve coverage, Ec/Io. Recommended to
DN63XC095, GMR to Full built convert DN63XC010 from GMR to Full built. After completing this M. uptilt, GMR to full built then
conversion on DN63XC010
2 only we recommend to downtilt the overshooting PN's.
DN18XC009 alpha PN 132 is creating pollution in this area. Current RET is 2/4 deg and height is 40ft.
3 Downtilt DN18XC009 alpha PN 132 Pollution near DN13XC334 causing poor Ec/Io, Airport site DN03XC158 gamma PN 345 is
A2 Pollution & DN03XC158 gamma PN 345 overshooting till this location due to its elevation profile. Current RET is 4/6 deg and height of this
site is 115ft. This site definitely requires downtilt from 4/6 to 6/8 deg. If we downtilt this PN 345,
Nearby PN 69 will cover this area.
DN03XC111 PN 153 is sitting on higher elevation and it is very dominant in this area. PN 255 and PN
Downtilt DN60XC041 gamma PN 444 are creating pollution in this area but these are first tier sectors only. Coverage is good but Ec/Io
444 by 1 deg to reduce pollution. is poor. Current RET on DN03XC111 beta PN 255 & DN60XC041 gamma PN 444 are 4/6 & 3/6 on
4 5 Convert DN54XC136 from GMR to 1900/800 bands. DN54XC136 gamma PN 465 is the strongest in that location, we can’t implement
A3 Pollution Full built and downtilt DN03XC109 any RET changes on it because it’s a GMR. Recommended to downtilt DN03XC109 alpha PN 144
alpha by 1 deg. Recommended to because its overshooting from 2nd tier. Current RET on PN 144 is 0/2 deg and its 73ft height.
match 2nd 1900 RRH to 1st 1900 DN03XC045 PN 87 is coming for short period of time and at that time stamp Ec/Io is going bad.
RRH RET( 3 deg to 4 deg). Current RET on DN03XC045 alpha PN 87 is 4/6 deg(but 2nd 1900 RRH is at 3 deg). Recommended to
match 2nd 1900 RRH to 1st 1900 RRH RET( 3 deg to 4 deg).
7 6 This area is already optimized as Pollution in this area causing the issues. We already did RET changes on DN29XC623 beta 1900/800,
A4 pollution part of VDR/VBR analysis. DN03XC108 alpha 1900/800 and DN60XC058 Gamma 1900. We implemented the RET changes on
04/04/2016 but LCC drive was done between 03/15-03/28.
Downtilt DN03XC150 alpha PN 84 This is clear indication of pilot pollution in this area. We are seeing 6 PN’s with Ec/Io ranging
and DN03XC033 alpha PN 165 by between -18.5 to -31.We are seeing following PN’s in this area: DN03XC033 PN 165, DN29XC628
A5 Pollution 1deg to reduce pollution in this alpha PN 9, DN29XC628 beta PN 246, DN03XC150 PN 84, DN60XC075 gamma PN 375, DN60XC075
area. alpha PN 120. Recommended to downtilt DN03XC150 alpha PN 84 and DN03XC033 alpha PN 165 by
1deg to reduce pollution in this area.
Lack of RET change recommended on Lack of dominant server. RET change recommended on DN03XC021 from 1/3 to 0/2 deg( drive test
A6 dominant DN03XC021 beta. required after RET change) to make one dominant PN in this area.

Recommended to downtilt DN73XC066 beta PN 276 is overshooting from 3rd tier and DN03XC009 gamma PN 366is
A7 Pollution overshooting PN’s DN73XC066 beta overshooting from 2nd tier. Current RET on DN73XC066 beta is 2/4 deg and DN03XC009 gamma is at
and DN03XC009 gamma by 1 deg 3/7 deg.
9
RET change recommended on We observed poor Ec/Io near DN03XC013. Neighboring site DN63XC096 is a GMR site(No RET
A8 Pollution DN03XC013 & Convert DN63XC096 capability). RET change recommended on DN03XC013 1900 beta from 6/7 to 4/7 and on alpha from
from GMR to Full built. 2/0 (1900/800) to 0/2 deg to make one dominant PN in this area.
A9 Pollution No change recommended due to Lack of dominant server in this area causing the issues. Due to challenging terrain issues we are not
challenging terrian issues. recommending any RET changes( because it may create issues on E-470 Hwy).

Ec >= -95 dBm And Ec/Io <= -14 dB

Good Coverage & Poor Ec/Io: 0.58%
