BRINGING MANY SONS

TO GLORY
HEBREWS 2:10-12
 For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all
things and by whom are all things, in
bringing many sons to glory, to make the
captain of their salvation perfect through
sufferings. For both He who sanctifies and
those who are being sanctified are all of
one, for which reason He is not ashamed to
call them brethren, saying:
 “I will declare Your name to My brethren; In
the midst of the assembly I will sing praise
to You.”
 KINGDOM OF GOD
 KINGDOM ALIGNMENT
 We must Know God as a Father by
revelation. Mat 11:27
 You can only walk as a son if you know your
Father
 He is our Father and His desire is for us to
come to be sons and daughters
APPROPRIATE to who He is.
 KINGDOM OF GOD
 We must experience sonship before we can
work in the king of God
 Our individual identity is Son or Daughter
 KINGDOM OF GOD
 KINGDOM ASSIGNMENT
 As a son or daughter of God we have an
assignment the same as the assignment He
gave to Adam & Eve to rule or managed
the earth.
 Ruling the earth is in partnership with the
Father as a son not as an orphan.
 Our corporate identity is Ekklesia

CHRISTIANITY
 PURPOSE OF
CHRISTIANITY
 JESUS DIED ON THE CROSS TO GET RID OF
EVERYTHING THAT STOP US FROM COMING
INTO A LIFE OF INTIMACY WITH THE FATHER.
 Eternal life is knowing the true God and Jesus
Christ whom He sent… John 17
 Eternal life is the substance that causes God
to be alive in us.
 PURPOSE OF
CHRISTIANITY
 We have reduced the Holy Spirit down to our
own experience of charismatic phenomena.
 The essence of the Spirit of God is the very
nature and personality of God Himself.
 Feeding from the Tree of life was being filled
with the Spirit of God.
 ORPHAN SPIRIT
 When Adam and Eve were pushed out of the
Garden, they became fatherless.
 In them the whole human race became
infected with “orphaness”
 It makes no difference whether your parents
were bad, or faultless
 The whole world system is an “orphan-
based” system.
 ORPHAN SPIRIT
 Every culture and institution is basically
motivated by orphaness.
 Which is manifested by fear, greed,
insecurity, self-preservation etc.
 This orphaness has infected the church life.
 You can be born again but it doesn’t take
away your orphaness.
 ORPHAN SPIRIT
 You can be baptized, filled with the Spirit and
even anointed in a ministry office but still
have the heart of an orphan.
 You cannot cast the orphaness out of the
human heart
 This is the spirit that works in the son of
disobedience (Eph. 2:2)
 Orphaness is not a demonic thing.
 ORPHAN SPIRIT
 Orphaness is the basic state of the human
heart.
 The result is we develop an orphaned style of
Christianity.
 SOLUTION
 The only solution for an orphaned-spirited
Christianity is to encounter the fathering and
mothering love of God.
 The intimacy of a Father loving us will break
our orphan Christianity.
 As you come into this experience of the
Father’s love you will begin to see change
happening in your life.
 SOLUTION
 As the love of the Father touches you, you
come into a sense that He is totally pleased
with you.
 You don’t have to be a people-pleaser
anymore.
 Many people are exhausted and burned out
but when they received the unconditional
love of the Father they get free.

 ORPHAN-SPIRITED CHRISTIANITY
 Means a Christianity that does not have an
experiential knowledge of the love of the
Father.
 This Christianity has a very real relationship
with Jesus as Lord, as King, as Bridegroom

 Those relationships can be very strong but it
is only the Father that can take away the
orphan-heartedness in us.
 But It is a revelation of a Father that takes
the orphan-spiritedness away.

 Derek Prince – Late in his life, however, he
came to realize that there is an experiential
relationship with the Father to be entered into.
 That relationship with the Father takes away
orphaness.
 And it will bring you into a whole new
experience of Christianity.

 We have had a revelation of Jesus at salvation
 We have a revelation of the Holy Spirit in the
baptism of the Spirit.
 But without a revelation of the Father in our
heart the Father will remain an unknown.
 The experiential relationship brings you out of
being a servant into the reality of being a son.

 Before receiving a heart-revelation of the
Father, it is as if the Father Himself is a
master, commander, and a judge.
 Our Christianity is focused on obedience to
commands.
 Obedience is doing something we don’t like

 Our whole spiritual life will be focused on
hearing orders and obeying them
 Obedience is the central issue of orphan-
spirited Christianity.
 When we experience Him instead of
obedience, we now focus on being in
harmony with the Father.

 We begin to lose that strong dominance of
doing His will by command to doing His will
for LOVE.
 A son living in harmony with His Father.
 Obedience is not really the issue for Christian
 God does not really want you to walk in
obedience all your life.

 Obedience is not absolute
 Obedience is only relative
 Obedience only has relevance when you do
not want to do what you have been told.
 When His heart becomes our heart and we no
longer do what He wants out obedience

 We begin doing it because we like doing it.
 Rather than doing something out of
obedience.
 John 4:31-34 …”I have food to eat of which
you do notmknow....My food is to do the will of
Him who sent me and finished His work”

 There parts of us that do not want to do what
God has asked us to do particularly as we are
breaking the hold of sin and the flesh.
 Obedience has its place but what He is
looking for is our heart get changed to be like
His heart.

 That delight in pleasing the Father can only
come from a son.
 Because only a son can be like their father.
 Something begins to change inside us where
life is not an issue of obedience any more but
an issue of being in harmony with Him
2. FROM A WARFREAK SERVANT
TO A CONQUERING SON
 We think we have this enemy who is a major
problem to us.
 “ We live in an enemy’s environment; there is a
war to be won, there is a battle to be fought, and
we have to conquer satan, we’ve got a battle in
our hands
 We are soldiers of the army and we have a fight in
front of us.

 The battle is over
 We are not just conquerors , we are more than
conquerors.
 We are not living on a battle field, we are living in
our Father’s love
 The battle is in the courts of heaven
 Satan is the trespasser not us

 Trespassing means being somewhere that
you have no right to be.
 This world belong to our Dad and we are at
home here.
 We don’t have to fear the enemy

 However, if you believe that you are only just
able to overcome demons then you are going
to have interesting battles because by your
doubt you are giving them strength.
 But when you can believe that the battle is
already won and that you are more than
conqueror through Him who loves you.

 1John 4:17 “As He is, so are we in this world.
 Satan is not our enemy
 We are his enemy
 If you feel the devil attacking you, it is
because your righteousness is really
oppressing him and he’s fighting back

 Smith Wigglesworth – He woke up, looked up
and there was satan.
 He said “Oh its only you!” and went back to
sleep.
 If we believe that we are continually covered
by the blood of Jesus there is no need to
always claim that we are covered with it.

 Our faith is the victory that overcomes the world
but if you have faith that believes we are in the
midst of a battle, then the battle is what you get.
 We have to transition from battle field to the
courtroom of God
 When you begin to touch the almightiness of the
Father the authority of the enemy begins to
diminish

SPIRIT
 In an orphan-spirited Christianity there is something
about us that loves Laws.
 Because we cannot be led by love, we try to find
another way
 Much of the emphasis in our Christianity is about
walking in the principle of God
 There are principles of God but we don’t walk in
them

THE SPIRIT
 Walking in the Spirit will always lead you
according to the word of God but obeying the
word of God does not mean that you are
walking in the Spirit.
 Orphan-spirited Christianity is always focused
on where the limits are, what I am allowed to
do and not allowed to do.

PRINCIPLES TO WALK IN
THE SPIRIT
 God is a spirit and He walked in love
 His love filling us by the Spirit will lead us to
walk in love also.
 I Cor. 14:1 “make love your great aim”
 When you love you automatically fulfill the
law

AUTHENTIC HOLINESS
 In an orphan-spirited Christianity we are very
focused on trying to be holy.
 Holiness means “other than the world”
 We normally think that holiness means
always doing things right and living life
correctly.

 When we become sons we are not focused
on being holy but we want to become like our
Dad.
 “You will be holy because I am holy and as
you become closer to Me, My holiness will
become your life.”

 Righteousness is not something that you do
 Righteousness is a gift. 1Cor. 1:30
 A religious striving for righteousness is
replaced by a desire of a son to be like his Dad.
 The more that you fight sinning the stronger
its grip is established in your life.

AUTHENTIC HOLINESS
 Because what you focus on you become like.
 We should not sin but the real answer is not
to resist it.
 The real answer is to submit to God and
desire in your self to be like Him.

TO GRACE
 One of the Big problems that an orphan-
spirited person has to deal with is that they
think that if people don’t like them it’s
because of the things that are wrong in them.
 With this mindset faults become the enemy.
 But the problem we can’t get rid them or
even hide them

 The more we come to know the Father, the
less the faults are a problem.
 In orphan-spirited Christianity we hide our
weaknesses.
 When people can’t have grace towards
somebody’s fault it’s because they are hiding
their own faults

 When you come to a freedom with your
faults and you can confess them then you can
be yourself.
 In orphan-spirited Christianity we preach
freedom but in reality we live in bondage.
 We preach grace but we live in legalism.
 CONCLUSION

 Orphaness is the tree of the knowledge of

good and evil
 As you begin to realize that the Father loves
you just as you are it sets you free from what
everyone else expects you to be.
 It sets you free to rest in the certainty of the
love of God in your heart.
 MY DREAM

 We are living in a time when God’s fathering

love is beginning to soak into.
 When all His pastors have a fathering heart,
not ambitious heart, but are genuinely
fathers and mothers to the people in this
world.
