• Also called short-short
• Contains limited amount of words
(250-1000)
• Like the usual type of story, has
protagonist (hero, lead role),
antagonist (opponent), conflict,
resolution

• Contain 2000 – 6000 words
• About 8-24 pages
• Limited time for the author to
explore possibilities of developing
the character and relationships
among the characters, plot, and
setting
