With the increase in vehicle and world population, more
and more parking spaces and facilities. In this project a new parking system called Park-A-Lot (PAL) is proposed to assist drivers to find vacant spaces in a car park in a shorter time. Different technologies are reviews and compared to determine the best technology for developing PAL. Features of this system include vacant parking, display of available parking spaces, and different types of parking system (vacant, occupied, reserved) through the use of specific LED's sensor. INTRODUCTION A Park-a-Lot System (PAL) is established to provide customers important need on where they going to park their car, Since car is a main factor in transportation each of the establishments and other business must meet the need of the customers/drivers. Park-a-Lot System like Pasig City Parking Lot, SM Megamall Parking Lot and many more having a parking space is really highly dependent on where you are because you don't have to take too much effort to find a place to park. As the time goes by the demands of having a car of each one is Rising up, It requires to have a much bigger places and fastest transaction using the most effective and latest technology that is needed in this system. Through the help of Park-a-Lot: Monitoring System includes Memberships/Space Lot and Point reward/Discount system, Park-a-Lot (PAL) like Pasig City Parking Lot can improve the daily transaction that translates to much more number of customers that we may help to find a place to be Park. PROJECT OVERVIEW The project, Parking-A-Lot (PAL) our proposed PAL detection system is based on a light sensor. Current car park management is dependent on either human personnel keeping track of the available car park spaces or a sensor based system that monitors the availability of each car park space or the overall number of available car park spaces. In both situations, the information available was only the total number of car park spaces available and not the actual location available. In addition, the installation and maintenance cost of a sensor based system is dependent on the number of sensors used in a car park. Along with it, is the Rewards or Discount Management which includes a Membership, Rewards and Discount System. This provides the company's members and services for the clients.
