ABSTRACT

With the increase in vehicle and world population, more

and more parking spaces and facilities. In this project a new
parking system called Park-A-Lot (PAL) is proposed to assist
drivers to find vacant spaces in a car park in a shorter time.
Different technologies are reviews and compared to
determine the best technology for developing PAL. Features
of this system include vacant parking, display of available
parking spaces, and different types of parking system (vacant,
occupied, reserved) through the use of specific LED's sensor.
INTRODUCTION
A Park-a-Lot System (PAL) is established to provide customers important need on
where they going to park their car, Since car is a main factor in transportation each of
the establishments and other business must meet the need of the customers/drivers.
Park-a-Lot System like Pasig City Parking Lot, SM Megamall Parking Lot and many more
having a parking space is really highly dependent on where you are because you don't
have to take too much effort to find a place to park. As the time goes by the demands
of having a car of each one is Rising up, It requires to have a much bigger places and
fastest transaction using the most effective and latest technology that is needed in
this system. Through the help of Park-a-Lot: Monitoring System includes
Memberships/Space Lot and Point reward/Discount system, Park-a-Lot (PAL) like Pasig
City Parking Lot can improve the daily transaction that translates to much more
number of customers that we may help to find a place to be Park.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
The project, Parking-A-Lot (PAL) our proposed PAL detection system is
based on a light sensor. Current car park management is dependent on
either human personnel keeping track of the available car park spaces or a
sensor based system that monitors the availability of each car park space or
the overall number of available car park spaces. In both situations, the
information available was only the total number of car park spaces
available and not the actual location available. In addition, the installation
and maintenance cost of a sensor based system is dependent on the
number of sensors used in a car park. Along with it, is the Rewards or
Discount Management which includes a Membership, Rewards and
Discount System. This provides the company's members and services for
the clients.
