INTRODUCTION
 Simple sun tracking solar panel circuit which will track the
sun and position the solar panels accordingly.
 Renewable and green energy solutions are become popular.
 Photo Voltaic panel converts solar energy into electricity.
 Require maximum efficiency from solar panel
 Solar tracking system has 30 to 40% more generating power
than fixed solar panel.
WHAT IS SOLAR TRACKER?
 Solar Tracker is a device used for orienting a solar
photovoltaic panel towards the sun by using the solar or
light sensor connected with the machine.

 The main objective of this device is to generate maximum

power from the sunlight .

 This project helps for power generations by setting the

equipment to get maximum sunlight automatically.
NEED OF SOLAR TRACKER
 Increase of solar panel output.
 Maximum efficiency of the panel.
 Maximize per per unit area.
 Able to grab the energy through out the day.
WORKING PRINCIPLE
 The solar tracking system consists of Solar Panel
,LDRs(Light Dependent Resistors), and servo motor.

 Light dependent resistor produce low resistance when light

falls on them.

 The motor connected to the panle rotates the panel in the

direction of light.
WORKING PRINCIPLE
 If intensity on the left LDR is more panel slowly move
towards left .

 When the intensity of the light falling on Right LDR ismore,

panel slowly moves towards right.

 In the noon time sun is ahead and intensity of light on both

the panels is same

ADVANTAGES
 High generating power.

 Low power loss

 Eco friendly

 Tracking accuracy
DISADVANTAGES
 Tracker add cost and maintenance.

 Not suitable for typical residential rooftop.

 Shading problems.
