About Save The Bay
Save The Bay is an independent, member-supported, nonprofit organization. We got our start as
a grassroots organization in 1970, when a small group of concerned citizens came together to
fight an oil refinery proposed for the shores of Tiverton. Their work began our legacy as the eyes,
ears and voice for Narragansett Bay. Today we carry out our mission through three areas of work:
advocacy, education, and habitat restoration and adaptation.

It was their comprehensive and involved approach to environmentalism that drew me to work
with them.
Goals to achieve
Facebook- Save The Bay has over 14,000 people following their facebook page.
However, their likes are usually under 50, and the same goes with comments and shares.

Instagram- 4,165 followers. The amount of likes varies greatly from post to post.

Twitter- On Twitter there is almost 5,000 followers but there is again, problem of
engagement and spreading the posts.

Overall Goal- Save The Bay wants to sell copies of their books, so to do that requires a
lot of word of mouth marketing. To do this, the goal is to get 50 likes and 50 shares on all
three platforms. This would show engagement from the community, as well as those
outside the already connected members being engaged as well.
