This story begins when Marila and
Matthew decide to adopt a boy to
help them on the farm
Summary
Mathew went to pick up the adopted child at the train
station but to his surprise there was a girl
He realized that she was a special girl because she
didn’t stop talking and saying how beautiful the road
was with beautiful words.
When Matthew and Anne arrived at Green Gables, Marila couldn't believe it, she got angry and told
matthew to give her back, because they wanted a boy. The next day Marila went to leave Anne and talk to
the orphanage about the misunderstanding.
The lady of the orphanage told Marila that there wasn’t problem with that, even another lady wanted an
employee to take care of her children
Marila saw that the Lady wanted a slave and not a girl or an employee, she decided not to leave Anne there
So she gave Anne a trial week to show her interest in stay in Green Gables.
That day Anne makes a best friend named Diana, Barry’s daugther. Marila and Matthew decided to
contract a boy to help them in the farm called Jerry
After a fantastic day, Marila accuses her of having stolen a very important brooch for her. The next day they
return Anne.
Marila realizes that the brooch was on the sofa and she tells mathew to bring Anne back.
Anne past the trial week and Marila decided to take her to Avon Le school so she could study.
When she arrived at the school , Diana shows her the school and the rules of the school. Anne couldn’t
believe, she meet new girls and boys and make Friends. That day Anne and Diana saw the teacher flirting
with Prissy, the biggest girl in the class.
Diana told her other friends what she saw with Anne and Anne couldn't stop talking because she was
nervous, she put Prissy in trouble . The next day Billy (bother of prissy) was waiting for Anne in the way to
school, He was to going to hit her but Gilbert appeared and stopped Billy’s plan.
Anne and Gilbert go to school together but anne's friends see them and tell her that she can't talk to Gilbert
because ruby ​was in love with Gilbert. So Anne decides not to speak to Gilbert again.
 Gilbert seeing that Anne does not want to talk to him, he chases her and continues talking to her. In class Gilbert
gets up from his seat to give Anne an apple but Anne ignores him and Gilbert gives him a tug of braids and
Anne hits him with her blackboard in the face.
After a time, Gilbert's father dies, who was very ill. So Gilbert decides to go and travel the world like his father
did. the ship where matthew's merchandise was going sank with all the things he was carrying and matthew asked
for a loan, soon after he fell ill; Anne's family is in serious financial trouble .
Anne and Jerry go to town to sell their valuables so they can pay off the debt. But while anne was selling the
valuable things some thieves attack Jerry and steal the money from the horse he had sold.
Anne's family repaid the loan matthew made. Some time later the thieves who robbed Jerry come to live in Green
Gables
Some time later the thieves who lived in Anne's house decided to scam the people of the place, telling them
that there was gold in the place and that they had to pay 150 dollars for the excavation of their land to be
carried out, to which Anne realized of his scam and it was too late
The thieves escaped with the money but in the end one ended up betraying another. While all this was
happening in green gables, Gilbert was working on a boat and there he met Bash who became his best
friend.
Anne hated her hair color, so she decided to buy a hair dye, which eventually left her hair green, and
Marila had to cut her hair. During all this Gilbert comes to Avon him with his friend Bash, to finish his
studies and go to university, Gilbert wanted to be a doctor
Cole is a new boy who comes to school, he likes art, he is different from all the boys in his class, that is why he
is a victim of bullying at school, Anne defends him but Billy makes him fall from a ladder and Cole breaks his
wrist
The professor asks Prissy to marry him, but she leaves him at the altar and doesn’t get married, because she
wants to continue studying at the university but the professor told her that it won’t be possible due to the duties
of a wife that she will have after marriage .
On the other hand, Gilbert's friend Bash decides to remove a tooth due to a toothache. So they go to town to
find a doctor, Bash decides not to be a burden to his friend and goes to the Fangal where he meets Mary, they
fall in love and get married and they go to live at Gilbert's house in Avon.
In replacement of the teacher Miss Stacy arrived, she is an unconventional lady, wears pants and rides on a
motor bike, so she is Anne's new role model, but Avon's parents do not agree with her Miss Stacy's customs as
it goes against their morals.
The school students decide to support Miss Stacy to stay and they succeed. In Gilbert's house, Mary and Bash
have a daughter, and that day Mary's son comes to visit her but he was gots angry because he sees his mother
having a life that he could never have and he stays to sleep that day. The next day when they wake up, Mary's son
stole all the valuables from Gilbert's father and left.
Gilbert meets Winnifred and begins to woo her, Gilbert does this because he is not sure how he feels about
Anne. Gilbert invites winnifred's parents and winnie to the Avon le fair where Anne sees them and feels bad,
because she likes Gilbert.
Shortly time was Anne's 16th birthday and the next day is her entrance exam to Queen's University in which all
the students go to take the exam.
After the exam all the guys have a party in celebration of their end of the year at school. Gilbert wasn’t present
because he was at Wuinni's house and talking to his Wuinnie father. Wuinnie's father offers him many
opportunities if he decides to marry with his daughter, so Gilbert take a time to think about it.
After all this, Gilbert goes to that party and tells Anne everything that wuinnifred's father told him, Anne was
drunk and her heart broke into a thousand pieces when she heard what Gilbert was saying to her. Anne only
replied that he should marry Wuinni because she is beautiful and will get opportunities with her.

Gilbert decided to go to wuinnie's house to ask her to marry him but when he arrived, he regretted it
because he knew that he would not be happy with someone he really didn’t love
The next day Anne had arrived at the university with the other girls. She went out for a walk and met
wuinnie, but Anne didn’t know that Gilbert had regretted proposing to wuinnie, so wuinnie told her what
happened and Anne went to find Gilbert.
While Gilbert was leaving for Toronto to study medicine, he met Diana on the train and Diana told him how
Anne felt about Gilbert, so Gilbert went to find Anne at her university.
Anne was leaved the university to find Gilbert, but on the way she met him, and they had
a tremendous smash
