Two basic procedures:


• Over wing
• Single Point

All aircraft have over wing fuelling points

If the single point system becomes


inoperative fuelling can be carried out using
the over wing points

Single Point fuelling is common on:

• All transport aircraft


• Medium business and commuter jets
• Some large helicopters
• Or any aircraft with high a volume
fuel tank system

The general rule for these leaks is that any leak in an enclosed area is considered a
fire hazard.
