• A progressive disease.
• Early Stage: Memory loss
• Late Stage: Lose the ability to respond to their environment
How it affects the body?
• Neurons are injured and die throughout the brain.
• Connection between networks of neurons break down
• Many brain regions begins to shrink
• Significant loss of brain volume
Cures for Alzheimer
• There is NO CURE.
• There are some drugs that helps treat symptoms.
How to prevent disease and disorder?
• Stop smoking
• Keep alcohol to a minimum
• Eat a healthy diet
• Exercise daily
