- Native Parenting Project

Activities/Accomplishments:

● Activites:
- Recruiting parents specifically mothers from a Native
American background.(ex: from social media, email etc)
- Interview parents about their experiences, how it relates to
the main objectives/mission of this study.
- Attachment, bonding, cultural traditions (use of craddle
boards, storytelling) between a parent and child
relationship.
Used to recruit/helped to gain participants:

● This is what me and another intern

were able to use. Providing this for

potential participants to see was

beneficial.

● As a result for me I was able to recruit a

few people participate in this study.


Accomplishments:

● Being able to interview participants(parents), hearing their


outlooks, opinions to the discussion.

- Seeing an improvement in my interview skills, such as being


comfortable and confident during interviews.

● Me and another intern were able to create new questions from out
previous interviews. Contributing to our model and topics to
discuss for this project.
