Objectives

Students are expected

● Highlight at least 3 data representation methods to present raw data.

● Construct with 80% accuracy a pie chart to represent raw data
● Analyze the trends from a pie chart in relation to the raw data.

Question?

What can we use to represent the data?

Activity

With the data from the experiment, draw a bar chart or a line graph to show the data from the table.
Ways on how to present data

Data can presented in the following ways:

● Bar chart
● Pie Chart
● Line graph
● Histogtam
Bar Chart

● These are used to show a numerical

comparison of data with different
categories
● The chart can be drawn vertically or
horizontally.
Pie chart

● This chart is used to show the percentage

each category of data shares from a
collection
● It shows the ratio for each category from
the data from a total data collection
● This chart should be used to show
percentage or ratio for individual
categories.
Line Graph

● These graphs are used to show data

progressing over a period of time
● It is used to show data that changes
continuously or a sequence of values
● It can also show multiple sets of data on
one graph.
Histogram

● These charts are used to show how data is

distributed across different categories
● It is similar to the bar graph but it looks
different and serves different purposes.
Bar graph are used to show data for
different categories while a histogram is
used to show continuous data.
● This is to be used to for data that is
grouped together.
