enforcing the law, and preventing,
detecting, and investigating
criminal activities. These functions
are known as policing

NDRF has proved its importance in
achieving this vision by highly skilled
rescue and relief operations, regular and
intensive training and re-training,
familiarisation exercises within the area of
responsibility of respective NDRF Bns,
carrying out mock drills and joint
exercises with the various stakeholders.
 SDRF
State Disaster Response Fund. The
State Disaster Response Fund
(SDRF), constituted under Section 48
(1) (a) of the Disaster Management
Act, 2005, is the primary fund
available with State Governments for
responses to notified disasters.
