HRIS
• A Human Resources Information System (HRIS) is a form of human
resources (HR) software that combines a number of systems and processes
to ensure the easy management of human resources, business processes
and data.

• It merges human resources as a discipline and, in particular, its basic HR


activities and processes with the information technology field, whereas
the programming of data processing systems evolved into standardized
routines and packages of enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.

• Human resource information systems provide a means of acquiring,


storing, analyzing and distributing information to various stakeholders.

• Various Modules of HRIS (payroll, time & attendance, benefits


administration, HR management and Employee Reassign Module).

• The new HR system has enabled greater HR efficiencies across the


organization by having one source of the truth, while one database and
one application significantly reduced IT costs.

• The adoption of these self-service applications, coupled with the


industrialization of key processes has reduced the operations team by
half.

year-on-year in HR cost.

Conclusion
• The manner in which TCS has implemented the HRIS system has not only helped it to
become largest IT firm in India but has also helped it achieve major position in global
market.

• Several factors contributed to the success of HRIS implementation, especially Accenture’s


deep expertise in SAP solutions and proven systems integration practices, as well as its
rigorous solution delivery methodologies and tools. Accenture is also able to tap resources
from its long-standing alliance partners, SAP and Microsoft, to help ensure quick problem
resolution and accelerate solution development and delivery.

• Human resource Information system helps HR managers perform HR functions in a more


effective and systematic way using technology and thus helps an organization to grow big.
