A counter lady clerk attends office late by 10 to 15


minutes every day. A number of complaints have
been received from the customers. On being
questioned by you, she states that her husband has
been seriously ill with cancer & that she can come to
office only after administering medicines to him in
the morning & hence the delay. She is intelligent &
hardworking employee. How will you deal with the
situation?
Options:
• I will issue a show cause to the lady & tell her to
come on time.
• I will send a written complaint to HRD at
regional office & ask them to transfer the lady.
• I will advice the lady to go on leave & further go
for leave without pay till her husband recovers.
• I will shift the lady to another seat where direct
interaction of customer is not involved.
