Students are able to:
 work together on class assignments using sites like Google
Classroom and FaceTime for I-Phone
 socialize in safer physical environments vs playing outside in
unsafe neighborhoods
 Create positive friendships, and share positive information.
NEGATIVE EFFECT OF
ACADEMIC SKILLS
 Students bring conflicts to school that was started on
social media, which then effects their learning time.
 Students attention spans are shortened due to having to
much screen time.
 Negative social interactions effect the student’s mood
and confidence.

to view them in a negative light
 Churches may not be educated on how to use social media and its
pros and cons
 The public may be offended by the statements of some churches
which can result in legal actions
 Some churches may not have the funding for sufficient technology
that will help them use social media and websites.

CONCLUSION
Social media can be used as a positive tool for students and churches
when they are provided with the right tools and supervision.
Everyone should be educated on the benefits and dangers of social
media and technology. With the correct procedures and guild lines in
place, social media can be a positive tool for any and everyone.
