Faculty -Self • Learn something new everyday to find a
better job and better life in this job.
• Even in engineering college, you need soft-
skill. You don’t want to transform a human
into a machine.
• It is OK to not know something.
 • Try to explain a concept to 5th std. student. If
he/she understands it, you can make your
students understand it.
Faculty- • Try to write a concept in plain English in five
Teaching sentences. If you can do that, you can make
your students understand it.
• Teach whole class; not top two students of
class. Sometimes last-benchers perform best
in life.
• Be open, be helping, be forthright.
• Teaching is a marathon, not a sprint.
 • Students are curious by nature.
• Students very frequently lack basic
knowledge.
• Students need larger picture first.
Students • Students need to visualize what is being
talked about.
• Students need hands-on experience.
• Students are low in confidence and shy in
nature.
• Students have their challenges and
insecurities.
