Object pronouns, Possessive adjectives, possessive

pronouns and reflexive pronouns.

Object pronouns.
The seven basic pronouns have one form when they are
used as subjects and another form when they are used as
objects.

Subjects are what the sentence is about.

Objects are what is affected by the action of the subject.

I like orange juice. (I is the subject).

I read books. (Books is the object as it is
receiving the action).
Examples

- She give me a gift.

- I have to talk to you.
- I sent him a text.
- He blessed her.
- I like this film. I saw it last week.
- He invited us to his wedding.
- I watched you (PLURAL)on TV.
- Look these shoes, I just love them !
Possesive
adjectives.
Possessive adjectives are
used to show possession or
ownership of something.
While we use them when we
refer to people, it is more in
the sense of relationship than
ownership.
More examples:

Your house is far away from here.
Her boyfriend is very friendly.
His opinion doesn’t matter.
Our dog is black.
Their homework is on the table.
Possessive
Pronouns.
We use possessive pronouns to refer to a
specific person/people or thing/things (the
"antecedent") belonging to a person/people
(and sometimes belonging to an
animal/animals or thing/things).
We use possessive pronouns depending on:
•number: singular (eg: mine) or plural
(eg: ours)
•person: 1st person (eg: mine), 2nd person
(eg: yours) or 3rd person (eg: his)
•gender: male (his), female (hers)
More examples:
The Instagram is mine.
I am yours.
It is his car.
It doesn’t belong to hers.
But ours is better…
I hope to have a love
like yours some day… (plural)
Now, take theirs and do the
same
Reflexive pronouns.
Reflexive pronouns are words ending in -
self or -selves that are used when the
subject and the object of a sentence are
the same (e.g., I believe in myself). They
can act as either objects or indirect
objects.
Reflexive pronouns.

costumes themselves.
