LAB – THIN PERSISTENCE (1 OF 2)
– Create a TPVV or use one that was created in a previous lab
• Show creating a TPVV with zero detect in GUI if not already trained

– Verify that zero detect is enabled


– Mount the TPVV to a windows host and format it
• Note used capacity for the TPVV in the GUI

– Copy large file from xyz directory


• Note used capacity of the TPVV

– Copy another large file from xyz dir


• Note used cap

– Delete one or all of the large files
• Note the used cap on the TPVV

– Run sdelete –c <drive letter>


• Note the used cap on the TPVV
• This step will take a few minutes partially due to 2 min checks and GUI update times Use the
refresh button on the GUI to speed up the results
