VOCABULARY
 a lie/a fib – noun
 to lie/fib – verb: when we say something that isn't true
 a compulsive liar – a person who always tells lies
 a white lie – a trivial lie that is usually told to prevent us
offending someone or hurting their feelings.
 to pull the wool over somebody’s eyes (idiom) – to deceive
someone.
 catch somebody out (phrasal verb) – to discover that
someone is lying or doing something wrong.
 trick - something you do to deceive someone, or to make
someone look stupid.
 deceive - to make someone believe something that isn’t true.
 mislead - cause (someone) to have the wrong idea or
impression.
• betray - to behave in a dishonest way with someone who trusts
you.
pretend - to behave as if something is true when it isn’t.

Imagine this - you can either be incredibly rich but lull of

two weeks in one particular interesting place, which kind
of holiday would you go for?
Is it better to earn lots of money in a boring job or
a little money in a job you absolutely love?
So, you're about to take on important oral exam,
let's say on
English oral, and you can either wait with
someone like you who has yet to do the exam or
with someone who's just finished it. Who are you
going to wait with?
The choice is between a life of permanently
following your head or permanently following your
heart.
