MAIN IDEA
A mother seeks to honor the name of her youngest
daughter by making the young man marry her
MAIN CHARACTERS
Sra. Mooney: Daughter of a butcher, determined and imposing
woman.

Polly Mooney: Daughter of Ms. Mooney, she is a slim woman with


blonde hair, a small mouth, and green eyes.

Sr. Doran: He was a resident of the boarding house, he had a good


job and he had money. He had a “celibate” mentality.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS
Sr. Mooney: He was the foreman of Mrs. Mooney's father, he was a
drunk, irresponsible and idle man.

Jack Mooney: Son of Mrs. Mooney, he was a young man with a


difficult and violent personality. He likes boxing and funny songs.

Sr. Leonard: He was Mr. Doran's boss, he was a religious man very
close to God. He was a wine merchant.

Mary: She was the maid of the boarding house.
