CEPHALOSPORINS
 Cephalosporins are derivatives of 7-aminocephalosporanic acid and contain the beta-lactam
ring structure.
 Most important thing is that cephalosporins have cross reaction with penicill so avoi in that
patients who have anaphylactic shock by penicill.

 PHARMACOKINETICS

 Most of drugs are more affective to gram positive

Uses :- UTI, Surgical prophylaxis (chest, abdomen,pelvis),step throat

Toxicity:- Anaphylactic shock, Hypersensitivity reaction (hypotension, bronchoconstriction,skin rashes

 Not G(+) affective as first generation, but good on G(-) effects
