 Introduction

• The transfer of electrons from the reduced co-enzymes though the

respiratory chain to oxygen is known as biological oxidation.

• Biological oxidation is the cellular level process in which the
organic substance release energy (ATP) produce H2O through
oxidative-reductive reactions.
