 INTRODUCTION
• Student result management system is a web based application developed for colleges to analyze the result
and keep track of students.
• The result management system is created in such a way that serves an authority to the administrator in
managing all activities on a single platform.
• Analysis of students information and their academic record is as important as examination
• result computation.
• We are able to see the individual candidate’s results separately.
• Student result management system has been designed to carry out the mark analysis process in an
educational institution.
• The results of respective departments can be efficiently computed without much of manual involvement.
• This system is mainly used in educational institutes like schools and colleges to evaluate the performance
of students and also generate the reports like progress reports and merit list.
• In this system merit list of academic subjects is done by calculating the total marks.
 PROBLEM STATEMENT
• Tracking the data of the student and make a easy access of student through login and get marks of a
particular student.
• Information about various users.
• Information about subjects offered in a particular department and semester.
• Marks obtained by the student in a particular semester.
• Generate report card.
• Make merit list.
 ABSTRACT
• Technology in today’s world has reached to extent that it can be used to do various task in day to
day life easily with less effort and time.
• World today has realized importance of education in one’s life which has led to revolution in field
of education.
• In today’s scenario colleges needs to analyze student results manually which takes lots of time
and effort by faculties working on it.
• Hence in order to simplify this tasks a web based system is introduced which can perform student
result management.
• The system takes file of student results obtained by universities in excel sheet format as an input.
• The result will be displayed in sorted manner according to obtained marks of student.
• This system runs on web browser on computer with well connected network.
 OBJECTIVES
• The main objective of the project is to provide the examination result to the student in a simple way.
• This project is useful for students and institutions for getting the results in simple manner.

• By a result analyzer with subject status and marks is an application tool for displaying the results in
secure way.
• The system is intended for the student. And the rights that are provided to student are to read and
execute his/her result by providing user name and password for secure login and in case of new student
the registration is available. And the guest user has the right only to read.
• The whole result analyzer will be under the control of the administrator and the admin as the full rights
to read, write and execute the result. And admin gives the privileges student and the guest user to
access the result.

• The student can share or download or take print out his/her result.
 SCOPE
• The application will manage the information about various students enrolled in this course in
different years, the subjects offered during different semesters of the course, the marks
obtained by the various students in various subjects in different semesters.
• The application will greatly simplify and speed up the result preparation and management
process.
• It will helps to view and take the print out of the result.
 EXISTING SYSTEM
• Existing process of the getting information for the student is done manually.
• All the wanted information need to be provided by the administration.
• If the students want to know the results of the particular subject so their should wait for long time
because work done manually.
• The information about their courses , results and other information accessing is not possible.
• In JNTUH results they will not mention overall percentage of the student .
 DRAWBACKS
• This system is very time taking process.
• And the data can’t be accessed accurately.
• If the student want more information about their courses the admin cant be able to provide that.
• Student need to go manually for getting the information.
• This system is complex.
 PROPOSED SYSTEM
• We have successfully proposed, 
“STUDENT RESULT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM” for replacing the manual work of
the administration.
• By this application student can easily access the modules like student results and courses information
required to student.
• This application is flexible and can easily access by the student.So the time taken for getting the
information will be reduced.
• It is efficient.
