Subject: Didac_av_li_unit3-Task: Listening comprehension and pronunciation.

Student’s name: DE LORENZO RODRIGUEZ, CRISTINA

Group:53
Date2-12-2014

A description of the target group: I have thought about having this lesson plan for a Primary 2nd
classroom, 22 students (8 and 9 years old). We don’t have any special-needs students. We are in the second
month of class, introducing the students to the vocabulary related to animals
Length of time for the activity: 2 hour (two sessions) one for the listening and the other for the speaking.
Materials used. Software used: Microsoft PowerPoint.
Description of the activity: What we try with this activity is to develop comprehension and speaking skills
through practice. First we will use the flashcards. We need to have a set of flashcards for each student. Then
they have to listen to the teacher and decide which words are said throughout the listening. The teacher will
review the words and she/he will explain and discuss the words they do not know. After the students have
grasped these facts, the teacher will divide the class in groups and they will play the game. The game will
develop the pupils’ ability to understand and communicate effectively
Classroom arrangement: In the first session big class where the teacher is the focus of attention and in the
second session in groups of 3 or 4 people.
Why Specific aims and expected outcomes: This lesson would combine listening with speaking to make
students to speak about something that really enjoy: the rabbits. This lesson will reinforce the children’s
communication skills and will also enhance their listening comprehension. They will also improve their
research skills. They need to understand the text in order to play the game.

I think that rabbits perhaps are one of the cutest and
wonderful creature on Earth.
Rabbits have long ears which can be as long as 10 cm.
Rabbits are herbivores (plant eaters).
They can be found through the world and they live in
groups. The European rabbit lives underground, in
burrows. A female rabbit is called a doe, a male rabbit is
called a buck, a young rabbit is called a kit (or kitten).
Rabbits have a lifespan of around 10 years.
Rabbits reproduce very quickly. Rabbits are born with their
eyes closed and without fur.
They are also commonly kept as pets.  Pet rabbits that live
inside are often referred to as ‘house rabbits’.
