Applicability
Part 43.1
1. Aircraft having an Indonesian airworthiness
certificate;
2. Foreignregistered civil aircraft under part 121 or
135;
3. Airframe, aircraft engines, propellers, appliances,
and component parts of such aircraft;
4. Does not apply to any aircraft for which an
experimental airworthiness certificate.

Performance Rules
 Shall use the methods, techniques, and
practices in accordance with maintenance
manual or its equivalent if acceptable to the
Director General
 Tools, equipment, and test apparatus in
accordance with accepted industry practices
shall be used or its equivalent if acceptable to
the Director General, must be used
Performance Rules
 Using the materials that will be at least equal
to its original or properly altered condition
 For holders of air operator certificates issued
under part 121 or 135 and part 129 unless
otherwise notified by the Director General,
shall use the methods, techniques, and
practices in accordance with continuous
airworthiness maintenance and inspection
program

43.3 Persons authorized to perform
maintenance, preventive maintenance,
rebuilding, and alterations
43.7 Persons authorized to approve aircraft,
airframes, aircraft engines, propellers,
appliances, or component parts for return
to service after maintenance, preventive
maintenance, rebuilding, or alteration
Persons authorized to perform
1. Holder of an aircraft maintenance engineer license
as provide in part 65
2. Person working under the supervision of a holder
of an aircraft maintenance engineer license, except
performance inspection under part 91 or any
inspection performed after a major repair or
alteration
3. Holder of Approved maintenance organization
certificate under part 145
Persons authorized to perform
4. Holder of air operator certificate under part 121 or
135
5. Manufacturer (Rebuild or alter any aircraft, aircraft
engine, propeller, or appliance manufactured by
him under TC or PC, TSO, PMA or product and
process specification issued by the Director
General; and perform any inspection under part 91
on aircraft it manufactures while currently operating
under PC or approved production inspection
system for such aircraft
Persons authorized to approved RTS
1. The holder of an aircraft maintenance engineer
license under part 65
2. The holder of an AMO certificate under part 145
3. The holder of an AOC certificate under part 121
or 135
4. A manufacturer for work required work, except for
minor alterations, the work must have been done
in accordance with technical data approved by
the Director General

43.2 Records of overhaul and rebuilding
43.9 Content, form, and disposition of
maintenance, preventive maintenance,
rebuilding, and alteration records (except
inspections performed in accordance with part
91, 125 and 135 sections 135.411(a)(1) and
135.419

inspections conducted under parts 91, 125 and

43.12 Maintenance records: Falsification,
reproduction, or alteration
Maintenance record entries
 A description (or reference to data acceptable to
the Director General) of work performed
 The date of completion of the work performed.
 The name of the person performing
 The signature, license number, and category of
license held by the person approving the work.
The signature constitutes the approval for
return to service only for the work performed
Recording of Major Repair and
Major Alteration
 Execute DGAC Form 43-337;
 Give a signed copy of that form to the aircraft owner; and
 Forward a copy of that form to DGAC Office
 For AMO may:
– Use the customer’s work order;
– Give the aircraft owner a signed copy of the work
order and retain a duplicate copy for at least two years
from the date of approval for return to service;
– Give the aircraft owner a maintenance release signed
by an authorized representative of the Approved
maintenance organization

43.5 Approval for return to service after
maintenance, preventive maintenance,
rebuilding, or alteration

APPENDIX B TO CASR 43 
Recording of Major Repair and Major
Alteration
Approved for Return to Service
No person may approve for return to service unless:
 The maintenance record entry required by section
43.9 or section 43.11;
 Repair and Alteration form authorized by DGAC
has been executed;
 Part 91, If a repair or an alteration results in any
change in the aircraft operating limitations or flight
data need to be attached in AFM
AMO Maintenance Release
“The aircraft, airframe, aircraft engine, propeller, or
appliance identified above was repaired and inspected in
accordance with current Regulations of the DGAC and is
approved for return to service.
Pertinent details of the repair are on file at this AMO
under:
