• Section 41(G): Workers’ participation in safety management

• Every factory where hazardous process is carried out or hazardous substances are used or handled,
occupier shall set up safety committee.
• Safety Committee consisting of equal number of representatives of workers and management
• to promote co-operation between the workers and the management in maintaining proper safety and
health at work
• The composition of the Safety Committee, the tenure of office of its members and their right and duties
shall be such as may be prescribed
• 112. General power to make rules.
• The State Government may make rules providing for any matter which under any of the provisions of
this Act, is to be or may be prescribed or which may be considered expedient in order to give effect to
the purposes of this Act.
