My visit to Frankfurt for the 2014 Auto


Show was great. This was the 65th edition
of the fair. It took place from September
25th to October 2nd in Hanover, Germany.

I arrived in Germany on Tuesday, 23rd of


September, two days before the start of the
event. I flew from New York to Frankurt. I
enjoyed the flight a lot.

I arrived at the exhibition center on


Wednesday, which was the first day of the
show. There were outdoor and indoor
exhibitions and lot of visitors.

I first visited the electric cars pavilion.


There were several exhibitions by different
car makers. I enjoyed them all.
The place was full of people because the
cars were really amazing.

A few days later, I attended a presentation


about the cars of the future. The exhibitors
showed a 3D clip about new technologies in
car manufacturing. These exhibition was
very interesting too. They even had a see-
through model car made in glass.

Before the end of the show, I had the


opportunity to do a drive test of a very
modern vehicle.

I traveled with a group of visitors to a nearby


circuit. We chose our favorite car and drove
along the circuit for several minutes. I felt
like a real race pilot!

Before leaving Germany, I had to try the


local food: sausages, of course! During the
last day of the show, I visited one of the local
restaurants. I ordered the Frankfurter
Würstchen which means “The little
Frankfurt saugage” It was absolutely
delicious! I also had a sauerkraut (cabbage
in vinegar) and a beer with it. These are the
usual sides that German people eat with
sausage.

my visit to the Palmira fairs, started with a


cavalcade longer than the Cali-Palmira
straight, with the finest and biggest horses
in the Cauca valley.
I couldn't ride because I don't have a
horse.
I can only see the cavalcade from afar.

The next day I visited the


fairground Coliseum of Palmira, it is
smaller than the imder Coliseum, where
the city's best-known bands and some of
the most popular singers performed.
There were many typical food stalls and
craft shops.

In the coliseum visit an area where the
animals are presented, there are many
animals, such as sheep, puppies, birds,
chickens, rabbits, and many more.

I could see them, but I couldn't touch


them

The most surprising thing was when I saw


the cows, since they were the biggest I
have ever seen.

Together with my family, we sat under a


tree to dine on stuffed potatoes and
empanadas, the tastiest I've ever eaten,
while we listened to the typical music of
our city.

being at that fair is cheaper than any other


family activity. but we still had a great
time, the people are very charismatic and
sociable, we went around the fairgrounds,
bought some things and went towards at
home.
