Snake plant ( Sansevieria Trifasciata)

Family Group: Asparagaceae

Observations:

( Leaf) The leaf points upwards with slight curves. On the leaves there is a striped pattern
of the colors yellow with light and dark green. Homemade illustration of the snake plant
and a picture I took is presented

(seeds) The plant does not have its seed anywhere on the outside of the plant. However
,based on online photos, I observed that the seed is roughly the size of a pea and has the
color and shape of a small pumpkin with little white spots. Online photo and a
homemade illustration of the seed is presented

(stem) Based on an online photo, I have observed that the snake plant looks a group of
lettuce with orange and white colored stems
Habitat:

The snake plant is native to Tropical west africa from

nigeria east to the congo and are typically found in rocky,
dry habitats ( wikipedia)
Adaptations for its habitat:
The plant exchanges oxygen and carbon dioxide using the
crassulacean acid metabolism process, which allows them to withstand
drought. The microscopic pores on the plant's leaves, called the stomata
and used to exchange gases, are only opened at night to prevent water from
escaping via evaporation in the hot sun. As a result, stored oxygen is
released at the opening of the stomata at night, unlike most plants which
continuously exchange gases during the day. (Wikipedia)
