Introduction • The fire that erupted at the PETRONAS Gas
Processing Plant (GPP) in Kerteh, Terengganu,
Malaysia on 10 May killed one worker and injured
a few more the company
• The fire occurred at approximately 15:00 Malaysia
time on Thursday in its GPP Complex A in Kerteh
and was brought under control 30 minutes later.
• There was minor damage to plant equipment and

• No interruption in the supply of gas to the
Peninsular Gas Utilization (PGU) pipeline network,
adding that it expects the incident to have a minor
effect on its earnings
• The Plant Operations Division (POD) operates six

Terengganu.

 This report concluded that the fire and explosion of this Petronas Petroleum Complex was
