Although in criminal cases, venue is jurisdictional


as the court has no jurisdiction to try an offense
commited outside its jurisdiction. However, in some
cases, venue is specially provided by law. Also,
venue can be changed or be transferred upon the
order of the Supreme Court in order to avoid a
miscarriage of justice.
