Rights of
Learners
× Learners have the right to be respected irrespective of the 3

child’s or his or her parent's or legal guardian's race, color,


sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national,
ethnic or social origin, property, disability, birth or other
status.
× Learners have the right to freedom of expression; this right
shall include freedom to seek, receive and impart information
and ideas of all kinds9. This includes the right to safe and
engaging child-friendly discussion, allowed to ask questions
and clarifications in a language he/she understands.

all teachers with respect. Learners
shall not engage in any acts that
produce any harmful effects to
school personnel through social
media and other communication
platforms.

the personal spaces of
co-learners and avoid
creating fake accounts
and contents.

× They should understand and be


empathic to the situation of others.
They shall not engage in
online/cyber bullying and report
any bullying incidences to his/her
adviser, when they become aware
of it.

Any learner who violates this provision shall


be subjected to intervention programs by
the CPC/Anti-Bullying Committee (ABC)
with parental support and other Child
Protection actors in the community, as well
as, other administrative proceedings before
the School Head, pursuant to existing
DepEd rules and regulations, when
warranted.
