 Only use manual mode to:
Ÿ prevent “gear hunting” on AUTO
uphill inclines
Ÿ strict “downshifts” on
downhill inclines Display: automatic mode /
9th gear

Warning: When coasting in manual mode, the transmission does not upshift.
Therefore decelerate vehicle before impermissible engine speeds
are reached.

Emergency control program

1. Close parking brake and switch off engine.


2. Press and hold down button (N) on range selector and

start engine.
3. Wait until “LH” appears in the display and the white bar
with arrowheads facing upwards flashes (clutch is open), 017922
release blue button.
4. Engage a setting off gear. The engaged gear appears in
the display, e.g. “01”, it can be adapted to the setting
of situation by tipping the lever.
5. Release parking brake and press grey button (F) until
