EARLY POLITICAL CAREER 1974-77: Participated in Jayaprakash Narayanan’s movement. 1985:first elected to the Bihar legislative assembly. 1989:Secretary General OF JANATA DAL in bihar,elected to 9th lok sabha,represented Barh parliamentary constituency in the lok sabha 1990: union minister of state,Agriculture & cooperation. 1991: reelected to 10th lok sabha,gnrl secretary of Janata dal, Deputy leader of JD in the parliament. 1998-99: union cabinet minister for railways & surface transport & then minister for agriculture. 2000: chief minister, resigned in 7 days ; rejoined as union minister for agriculture. 2001-04: union cabinet minister for railways in the NDA Govt. for Vajpayee Nov’05: led the national democratic alliance to a victory in the bihar assembly elections bringing an end to the 15 yr rule of LP Yadav- led rashtriya janata dal in the state. HE HAS RAISED MILLIONS OF HOPE NOT ONLY IN BIHAR BUT EVERY CORNER OF INDIA. HE DESERVES THE BEST BUSINESS REFORMER AWARD THANK YOU
