Artificial
Intelligence
(AI)
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
● AI is about machines with human attributes - speaking,
reading, seeing and even recognising emotion -
completing tasks while also "learning" from repeated
interactions.
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
● Take Siri or Alexa—personal assistants that have already become the new
normal for thousands of people around the globe.
● These and similar intelligent gadgets are able to recognize our speech,
analyze the information they have access to, and provide an answer or
solution.
● What is remarkable (and a little scary) about such assistants is that they
continuously learn about their users until the point at which they are able to
accurately anticipate users’ needs.
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
● Using algorithms that adapt to location, speech or user-
history machines can perform tasks that are dangerous or
tedious, more accurately or much faster than humans.
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
● Spotify, Pandora, and Apple Music are some other
touching points between AI and you.
● These services are capable of recommending music
based on your interests. These apps monitor the choices
you make, insert them into a learning algorithm, and
suggest music you are most likely to enjoy.
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
● Within a few years, analysts predict that all software will
use AI at some level, according to US research

Augmented
Reality (AR)
Augmented Reality (AR)
● Refers to the technology that overlays information and
virtual objects on real-world scenes in real-time.
Augmented Reality (AR)
● Refers to the technology that overlays information and
virtual objects on real-world scenes in real-time.

● It uses the existing environment and adds information to it

to make a new artificial environment.
Augmented Reality (AR)
● Organizations are increasingly applying this technology
across a wide spectrum of human activity from art and
entertainment to commerce, education and the military.

● It is used to train doctors, nurses, teachers and police
officers and are now available on your smart device.
Blockchain
Blockchain
● The fortunes of digital currency Bitcoin have drawn public
attention to Blockchain technology, but this secure system
for recording and verifying transactions and storing trusted
records has the potential to disrupt enterprises of many
kinds.
Blockchain
● A blockchain is a database that is shared across a
network of computers. Once a record has been added to
the chain it is very difficult to change. To ensure all the
copies of the database are the same, the network makes
constant checks.
Blockchain
A database
Records are bundled together into blocks and added to the chain
one after another. The basic parts:

Blockchain
Difficult to change
Hash codes keep records safe.

● A hash code is created by math function that takes digital

information and generates a string of letters and numbers
from it.
Blockchain
The computers in the network
Unlike traditional ledgers, a blockchain database is
decentralized and has no “master.”

CENTRALIZED NETWORK DECENTRALIZED NETWORK

Authority is held by a central node. All the nodes can access the information and
compete to be the next to add the database
Blockchain
● Companies are using Blockchain technology to transform
time-consuming, centralized, less reliable and less secure
systems.

Automation
Automation
● is the creation of technology and its application in order to
control and monitor the production and delivery of various
goods and services.
Automation
● is the creation of technology and its application in order to
control and monitor the production and delivery of various
goods and services.

● It performs tasks that were previously performed by

humans.
Automation
● Robots in manufacturing go back to the 1960s. Now it's
the scale and breadth of the transformation that
automated systems make possible, as a result of other
advances in machine learning and connectivity, for
example, that puts automation firmly at the forefront of
technology trends.
Automation
● From convenient devices at home to industrial
applications on a massive scale, automation will be a key
focus of technological change, with potentially far-
reaching economic and social consequences.

Internet of
Things
Internet of Things (IoT)
● The internet of things, or IoT, is a system of interrelated
computing devices, mechanical and digital machines,
objects, animals or people that are provided with unique
identifiers (UIDs) and the ability to transfer data over a
network without requiring human-to-human or human-to-
computer interaction.
Internet of Things (IoT)
● A thing in the internet of things can be a person with a
heart monitor implant, a farm animal with a biochip
transponder, an automobile that has built-in sensors to
alert the driver when tire pressure is low or any other
natural or man-made object that can be assigned an IP
address and is able to transfer data over a network.
Internet of Things (IoT)
● Increasingly, organizations in a variety of industries are
using IoT to operate more efficiently, better understand
customers to deliver enhanced customer service, improve
decision-making and increase the value of the business.
