 The City Museum of Cagayan

Mitugsok Falls
 To some it is known as
Mintugsok Falls — however it
is called Mapawa Falls to
nearby residents. This gem
has free falling cold waters
that came from the two
rivers of Malasag Mountains

Tourist Park
 The protected area is split by the
national highway, as the road
curves along with canopy of trees
framing the highway and despite
the high speeding vehicles passing
by, an adventure and commune

 One of the longest dual zipline


adventure experience is in
Bukidnon, Misamis Oriental. They
passed through vast pineapple and
banana plantations, some of them
owned by Del Monte Philippines.

Gaston Park
 Named after a pre-war Municipal
Mayor of Cagayan de Oro,
Segundo Gaston, the park is
located near the St. Augustine
Cathedral. Gaston Park was the
main plaza of Cagayan de
Misamis  during  the  Spanish
 colonial period.

Park
 Macahambus Adventure Park ,
take a walk across the Sky
Bridge that is elevated some
120 feet off the ground, take a

Fort Santiago
 It is made from blocks of
sedimentary rocks and
coral stones found along
the coastal parts of
the city. An Old Spanish
Port built in 1707 to

Shrine of the Nuestra Señora
de la Conception del Triunfo
 Also known as Cotta Shrine. It
is located at the south end of
the Cotta Fort where a bas-
relief image of the Virgin of
the Immaculate Conception is
enshrined in a small chapel
outside the fort's wall.

Bukagan Hill
 Bukagan Hill has a view of
the city, Panguil bay, the
provinces of Lanao del

Naomi`s Botanical Garden and
Tourist Inn
 The environment afforded by the greenery
surrounding the building has made it a
favorite venue for different community
activities, conferences and weddings.
Aside from the greenery boosted by a
collection of local and imported plants,
the 8 hectare property has 2 tennis
courts, a playground, a small chapel, a
bakery and a ceramic shop.

Macapagal-Macaraeg Ancestral
House
 Former president Gloria Macapagal-
Arroyo used to live in this Macapagal-
Macaraeg Ancestral House. The house
is owned by the Macaraeg’s, the clan
from her mom’s side of the family tree;
more specifically that of Gloria’s
grandfather who was a highway
engineer assigned in Mindanao.

Fort Almonte
 It was built at the twilight of
Spanish colonization in 1892
using stones from the sea and
served as a municipal and
coastal defense. It was
supposedly used as Japanese
garrison during World War II.

Maria Cristina Falls
 A waterfall of the Agus River in
the Northern Mindanao region
of the Philippines. It is
sometimes called the "twin
falls" as the flow is separated
by a rock at the brink of the
waterfall.

Tinago Falls
 Tinago is a Filipino term meaning
"hidden", the falls being hidden in a
deep ravine. The falls is high, its very
cold waters cascading beautifully into
a deep and calm basin-like pool which
appears like a blue-colored lagoon.
Under the falls is a small cave where
people can enter and listen to the
rumbling waters.

Limusudan Falls
 A two-tiered waterfall located in
Sitio Limunsudan, Barangay
Rogongon, Iligan City. Areas
surrounding the falls have been
occupied by immigrants from
Kalamlamahan of Barangay
Rogongon of Iligan City since
1995, together with natives of
the hegaonon tribes from the
nearby barangays or sitios.

Timoga Spring
 It is well knownfor icy-cool,
crystal-clear springs that flow
freely to swimming pools of
different sizes. The source
of water of Timoga Springs
comes from Lake
Lanao in Marawi City, Lanao del
Sur—which is 37 kilometers
away.

Beach

 A beach located in the town

 LNNCHS legally stands out on
78,981 square meters or 7,893

national highway of   Baroy,

del Norte .

Mindanao Civic Center
(MCC)
 A multimillion sports complex
located in the town of Tubod—the
capital town of Lanao del Norte.
MCC is a 71-hectare integrated
complex with a trade center,
gymnasium, swimming pool,
hotel, cafeteria, oval and sports
facilities, and a stadium of 14,000
seating capacity.

 Balo-i is the town where
the Maria Cristina
Airport, also known as
Iligan Airport, is located.
Baloi Lake is a man made
lake.

Catarman Church
 The Old Church Ruins in
Camiguin (also known as Old
Spanish Church Ruins and Guiob
Church) is an iconic landmark on
the island which has stood the
test of time following the
volcanic eruptions of Mt Vulcan
and Mt Hibok Hibok.

Cemetery

 The event is memorialized by


the island’s Sunken Cemetery,
a large white crucifix standing
atop an artificial platform about
100 meters out into the ocean.

 Katibawasan Falls is the


most impressive of the three
major waterfalls that are
found on Camiguin Island.
It's a beautiful, towering,
long drop waterfall.

cool splash of crystal blue-
colored water. Swimming
along the pool, one could be

 A stratovolcano, also known as


a composite volcano, is a conical
volcano built up by many layers
(strata) of hardened lava and
tephra with a summit crater and
periodic intervals of explosive

White Island
 White Island attracts thousands
of tourists every year. The
island is generally horseshoe
shaped, although the tides
constantly resize and reshape
its exact form. There are no
trees or shelter of any kind, and
it is composed solely of white
sands.

Giant Clamp Ocean Nursery
 The Giant Clam Sanctuary is
located in the small fishing
village of Cantaan in
Guinsiliban, Camiguin. Giant
clams are also called taklobo in
Filipino. The largest species can
weigh as much as 200 kg and
live at an average of 100 years.

in Plaridel Misamis Occidental. A
milk and chocolate twisted

 In Oroquieta City, halang-halang is
a spicy clear beef broth which is

 Dodol is a Maranao delicacy


which is made from sticky
rice, coconut milk and sugar.

Halang-Halang
 A spicy soup with beef cuts and
innards and bulalo which also
had the same soup stock. By
adding chopped chillis and
spring onions, the hotness and
the over-all flavor may also be
adjusted according to one’s
taste and preference.

Silvanas
 These Iligan Silvanas are
oblong-shaped cashew wafers
(with a thin layer of butter
icing) rolled in buttercake
crumbs. It is not too sweet
and not too buttery, so it is
fun to eat while the wafer is
frozen and still crunchy.

Kaamulan Festival
(February)
It is an ethnic cultural festival held
annually Bukidnon. The festival is a
celebration of culture, folklore, and
traditions. The highlights of the festival
include racing Filipino cowboys, street
dancing contest, dancing contest of 7
local tribes and the costumes worn are
reflective of the rich heritage with their
traditional music instrument.

Kagay-an Festival
(August 28)

The Higalaay Festival formerly known


as Kagay-an Festival celebrating the
feast day of St. Augustine, patron saint
of the city. It is features street dancing
competitions, carnival parade, higalas
parade, fluvial procession and trade
fairs.

Hudyaka Festival
(May 30-June 9)
Bais City celebrates their annual
Hudyaka Festival along the streets as
thanksgiving and tribute for the good
marine harvest. One of the highlights of
the whole celebration is Hudyaka
Festival street dancing, live bands, street
dancing, showdown, and variety shows
are being held around the city.

Pas`ungko S`g Mis Occ Festival
(November)

A Subanen word which means


“thanksgiving after a fruitful harvest”.
The center of festivities rests in the
provincial capital, Oroquieta City, it is
celebrated province-wide with festivities
that includes street dance and various
events such as trade fairs,
entertainment-related contests.

Dalit Festival
(September 29)
It celebrates the feast of Saint Michael,
the Archangel. They sing, dance & herald
the archangel’s gift of abundance &
protection. Aside from the religious
procession of its tutelary patron, the
street dancing & showdown competition
is one of the most awaited events during
the month-long fiesta.

Alimango Festival
(March 2

The festival features the Alimango Street


Dance contest, a competition for the most
delicious meal cooked with crab, a live
band to entertain the nightly salu-salo,
and an agri-aqua trade fair where both
locals and visitors may buy products for a
cheaper price for only this time of the
year.

(October)

A four-day festival held to celebrate


bounty harvests of the Lanzones
fruit. It is weekend of fun including
street dancing, numerous beauty
pageants and a parade celebrated
