With the recent signing of the Memorandum of

Understanding (MOU) with the All India Council for Technical
Education (AICTE), Autodesk has officially launched a new
AICTE Portal to enable Institutions, faculties and students
across 4,738 Engineering colleges affiliated to AICTE free
access to its comprehensive technology suites based on
discipline-specific learning paths.

. Raise students’ skills and digital design literacy levels in India Technical
Education

• Free access to Autodesk’s industry standard software will help improve

education and allow faculties to allocate more resources to faculty
development and other education programs.

Autodesk:- Is Largest Company Dealing with Engineering Software

Technical drawing also known as drafting.
It is language for Engineers, with whom they communicate to each other, or with different levels of industry.
 Problems associated with hand drafting
• Time consuming
• High skill is required
• Less accuracy
• Complex drawings difficult to visualize.
• Small mistake can disastrous.
• Repeating drawings or parts can be boring.
• Neatness
• Paper can easily be torn
• Multiple scaling is difficult
• Difficult to draw complex geometries like ellipse,
parabola,hyperbola,conics, polygons etc.
 Hand drafting is better ONLY if speed,
accuracy, and cost are not a factor.

Hand drafting largely been replaced by
