Patriotism/Nationalism

Love of country; devotion to the welfare of one’s compatriots;


the virtues and actions of a patriot; the passion which inspires
one to serve one’s country, the desire to compete with other
nations; nationalism.
How one is proud to be a Filipino?

but without action proves to be not enough.


There are many ways to show our love for our country.

• Know that Lupang Hinirang is the title of our national anthem


and not Bayang Magiliw
• Be a productive citizen
• Be aware of the issues in our country.
• Patronize and support our own products.
• Speak out our own language.
• Preserve the Filipino culture.
• Respect everyone and value our traditions.
• Remember and commemorate our heroes’ sacrifices for our
country.
• Love our family, neighbors and our compatriots.
• Stand proud for every Filipinos achievement.
• NATIONALITY
is the state of being part of a nation
by birth/naturalization/ties to a specific nation.
Ex.
FILIPINO
Filipino person born in Philippines.

ITALIAN
Italian to a person with Italian roots born in the United States.

• CITIZENSHIP
registered as a CITIZEN by the government of the respective country.
PHILIPPINE LITERATURE

associated with the Philippines and includes the

the Philippines written in both indigenous and
Hispanic language.
