PRESENT FUTURE

Simple future tense is


used to express an
action or activity that
will happen in our
future.
WILL
1. An event which has a possibility of
happening in the future.
Normally, you use 'will' to indicate
a future possibility.

Example:
Mary will complain to the manager
tomorrow.
 2. Will is used for the activity that
has not been planned before
(spontaneous).

 Example :
 I will take the marker in the office.
THE FORMULA

1. (+) S + WILL + VERB 1

2. (-) S + WILL + NOT + VERB 1

3. (?) WILL + S + VERB 1


BE GOING TO

1.An event in the future which is
connected to the circumstances in
the present.

Normally, you use 'BE+going+to' to
indicate the future intention.
Example :
 Mary is dissatisfied and she is going
to complain to the manager
tomorrow.
2.Be going to is used for the
activity that has already
been planned before.

Example :
 We are going to go to Bali
next month.

 (+) S+TO BE (AM,IS ARE)+ GOING TO +VERB 1

 (-) S + TO BE + NOT + GOING TO + VERB 1

 (?) TO BE + S + GOING TO + VERB 1


Time expression

1. tonight
2. tomorrow
3. next……….

Note :

Will not = won’t

I Am not= I’m not


He is not = He isn’t
They are not = they aren’t
Willyou come to my

 yes, I will / no I won’t
