AIM:
• Power stations generate electric power which is transmitted to the interconnected large grid
and afterward distributed to the consumers through overhead frameworks and substations.
• It is notable that the aggregate power produced at the power statios not equal to the total
power utilized by the end consumers, this is because of the reason that the some measure of
electric power dropped during power dispatch.
• Inferable from very large resistance/reactance proportion property of the power distribution
systems [1], the greater part of total power loss in line conductors is made out of I2 R.
BBO TECHNIQUE
• The IBBO technique has been implemented on 33-bus system as per the step by step
procedure given in section IV. The solution result obtained from the MATLAB software is
tabulated in Table 1. It is clear that the propose approach shows superiority and advantages
over the existing PIPSO and PSO method in terms of power loss reduction and
computational time

• The IBBO technique has also been tested for active power loss reduction in
69-bus system by integrating real power supporting DG. The comparison
result showing location & rating of DG and power loss reduction in 69-bus
systems is tabulated in Table 2.
