A Helpful Boy by:
Mayette G. Mateo

On the first day of the class, all the children were busy and excited to meet
their teacher and classmates. Teacher Cathy was walking down the stairs in
going to her class. She was carrying lots of books in her hands.
Teacher Cathy thanked Matthew to the good deeds that he did. She asked
him, “Who taught you a good manner?”
“My parents!” Matthew said. “They always remind me to be kind to
others.” “It is nice to see that you showed a good manner. You are so kind
and helpful kid,” said teacher Cathy.
At his home, Matthew told his parents how he helped his
teacher in carrying the books. His parents were happy and
proud of him.
