Final presentation

Special thanks too:

My mentor is Doctor Iran
My ism teacher Mrs. Zehentner
Who am I and what
do I do
• For my mentor ship, I decided to mentor
under Dr. Hosseini who runs a dentist
office called Dental land
Mentor ship
• Mentor ship was virtual so we couldn’t meet physically but that didn’t stop me from trying to find
a way to make it engaging, enlightening, and entertaining
• Since I couldn’t do in person
research I decided to try and
relate my own experiences to
the field and develop a product
The product to both benefit the giver and
the receiver
More cavities more
problems
• What's one thing that children
are scarred of, the dentist right,
well I want to change that
through my product

• What is my product, well let's

find out

The product
• My product is a simple, it only involves one
thing
• A phone

• It’s a simple product, but I believe that this

can motivate children around the ages of 5
to 8 to brush more decreasing the number
of cavities that they might have and can
instill a sense of responsibility that will help
them later in their life.
Product Mockup
The App is designed to be an easy and simple way for parents
and dentist to keep track of there child’s brushing habits, I
wanted it to be digital because it would be easier for parents
and the doctor to see the calendar and judge to see if the child
is doing well along with the fact that phones are already readily
available.

App Logo:
Based on the
actual logo of
the business
Product Functions
• Will allow parents to more easily keep track of
the days that there kid has and hasn’t brushed
• Will have the ability for parents to put digital This Photo by Unknown Author is licensed under CC BY-NC-ND

stickers on child's calendar to appeal to the kids

more
• The app will have milestones, weather it be a
perfect week streak or full month of brushing
• The app will send notifications if it sees that no
recorded brushings have accorded in a few days
• The dentist can view it at anytime to view how
their patient is doing without an emergency
check up

Rewards for brushing?

• Kids like feeling rewarded, that is

a given. Whether it is being good
for all year for a chance to be on
Santa's nice list or (since whether
is used at the start you would
another example here), kids will
be good when they have
something to work for. My
product aims to act as one such
goal.

• Improved oral health equals
improved quality of life
• Puts less strength on the child and
the parent
• Simpler than drugs, easier than
Benefits surgery
• Develop that repetition
• Avoid consequences in the future
• Kids start to develop responsibility
• It isn’t just oral care for
children, but it is massively
important for most people
especially as you get older. To
be a dentist doesn’t just mean
Why is the oral care being precise while operating,
but also learning to connect
business with your patients so they can
connect with you
What did I get from this

• I didn’t just learn about the orthodontist business, but also more about what
I want to do in the future, and what I want to do is to be the kind of doctor
that can really connect with his patients
