What are some possible careers
What is my major, and why am I available in my major
interested in it?
I am currently majoring in Nursing. • Travel Nurse
I am doing this major mostly • Emergency Room Nurse
because I have always been
interested in anything doing with • Labor and Delivery Nurse
the medical field since I was small. • Registered Nurse
I used to be in and out of the
hospital when I was small and will
see the nurses in action and thought
it was fasinating. I always wanted
to be there for people who are
going though hard times or that do
not have people there for them.
What career am I interested in pursuing? Why?
Of all the careers that my major provides I am
leading more into labor and delivery nurse. I have
always been interested in that department mostly,
because I want to provide some types of support to
those women out there that are doing this alone.

In other words, how does it support my academic and

financial goals or what I want to achieve?
I always had a passion in helping people and being
there for them when others aren’t. I will also help me
later on use these skills in unexpected situations.
Regarding the financial sitution, I will live a
comfortable life and hopefully achieve some non
career related dreams.
What strengths do I have that fits this career?
Some strengths that I have are communication skills and relationship building. I am very good at
making people comfortable and opening up about their feelings.

How might these impact my work/life balance?

I believe that this will make it hard for me to spend time with my family since I will work long
hours and be tried right after work. My mental and physical health will be another one too. Since, I
will not have time to focus on myself.
Which areas do I still need to develop to succeed in this career?
What is my action plan to grow in these areas?
First, I need to get into my BSN program. Then, I need to pass the
program and have the knowledge and proper practice after
finishing it. I also need to work on my leadership area. For this, I
will have to join an organization or participate in university
activities.
Final Thoughts & Next Steps
After completing parts 1-3 of this project, in what way do I feel more informed about
myself. my major, financial goals, and career path? What are my next steps?
After getting informed about certain things about my career I now have a better
knowledge of what I need to do next. I will have to get more informed on other things
that I was not able to obtain in this, but that is for a later day. Overall, I am in the right
course and all I need to do next is keep my head on my studies.
