“What is the setting of the story? When did it happen?”

A parade during the 4th of July in a Moro Settlement in Zamboanga

in the course of the American Regime
Exposition:

Alih and Omar are both moros who plan for

killing the people celebrating the Filipino-
American friendship day to wash away their
shame and gain respect for their father who
had died by the American soldiers without any
reason.
Rising Action

As per the short story and I quote, “(Holding on to a

pole on the globe stood a beautiful girl, Alih gazed at
the girl like a man just comes out of his blindness,
As the float came closer, Alih thought he saw a little
black mole on a corner of the girl’s mouth.” This was
the moment when Alih saw a girl standing on a float
and thought of her as Fermina, and found out he was
right.
Climax

As he was about to hold her

completely, Omar came and he is
drunken. Omar was about to kill
Fermina.
Falling Action

Alih kills his brother even

though they had a plan. Alih
protects Fermina from his
brother.
Resolution

After the incident, many speculations was

made of what happened. Some said Alih was
insane that's why he killed his brother. Some
said he had always hated his brother but the
thing is Alih didn't want his white horse
anymore.
