Total: 100% Course Objectives: • At the end of the course the student will be able to: • Identify the basic units of social structure and their function. • Describe the structure and patterns of groups. • Discuss the role of members of a society. • Explain social interaction and its varieties. • Explain the social development of Pakistan. • Describe the impact of culture on social structure. • Understand the impact of social structure on the individual. CONT: • Explain the effects of culture on illness. • Discuss about the educational dynamics in Pakistan • Explain the major social problems in Pakistan. • Develop an understanding of sociological interpretation of the relationship between the individual, culture, community and society and the nature of institutional structure with in a society. • Promote awareness about the nature and processes of social control and social structural changes in the analytically separable elements of society. • Promote a positive attitude towards sociology as an intellectually satisfying discipline relevant to everyday life.
