SYNOPSIS
 the story about the American engineer named
Homer Atkins wants to help the villager to solve
their problems that face difficulty to lift up the
water from bottom to up the hill. After thinking, he
comes out with the idea to build the water pump to
solve that problem. On the way to build the water
pump, he had to do many draft of the water pump
and take account some material to build it.
 Luckily, he has a brilliant wife that willingly share
some ideas in helping him to create the water pumps
 After finished make a draft, he discuss with headmen to
talk about his water pump. The headmen satisfied with his
idea and bring him to Sarkhanese man named Jeepo. He is a
mechanic at the village. After talking with him , they
finally agree to build water pump based on the draft. Homer
find that Jeepo is an intelligent mechanic too. While doing
the water pump, the work very hard and manage to
complete in a day.
 after tested the water pump, they build several others
to sell to villager. Finally the water pumps were sold
out and they had successfully to help the villager.

the water from the river to their home at the terrace

 A meeting was held between Homer Atkins and the
ambassador about the road construction

drawing his water pump
 Emma used to listen to Homer’s problem in dining

 Homer met the headmen to talk about his water
pump
 Homer and Jeepo worked out on the water pump at
the river

 Homer, Jeepo and their workers worked hard to
build up the water pump

 Two weeks after a meeting with the ambassador
 Homer and Emme flew to Sarkhan
 Six o’clock in the morning
 A Sarkhanese boy, Ong appeared at the time and
stayed at his house

 Homer and Jeepo has done a lot of water pump
 Late afternoon
 The water pump was ready to be tested

 Jeepo got idea to improve the water pump

 Two days after the succesful of water pump
 They rent a factory outside the village
 At the end of six weeks
 They had built 24 pumps
 At morning
 The workers had to get order from the villagers.
 Everybody worked at the Jeepo-Atkins Company
Limited.
 MORAL VALUE
 Don’t overcome the stress by negative habits.
 Homer should handle the stress in a positive
way, not overcome his problem by drinking
alcohol.
Everyone should be a supportive partner
 Emma always support her husband by
giving
suggestion, advice and become a good
listener to Homer
 We should determined and working hard in what
ever we do.
 Homer and Jeepo work very hard and able to
managed their time to complete the water
pump in a day.
 We should brave to face the changes in order to
improve our life.
 The headman was willing to accept Homer’s
idea water pump for the villagers own good.
