Introduction
What does it mean to follow your
dream?
Follow your dreams and you will be
happy. Your dream is not a coincidence.
Your dream IS who you are. You SHOULD
pursue it! Your dream gives you a sense
of meaning and purpose, and drives you
on into your chosen future
First Define Your Dream

• Most people who don’t figure out what they want to do,
end up doing what other people tell them to do, or they just
settle for what’s safe and comfortable.
• Think about what it is that moves you. What seems to be a
right fit for you? What can’t you stop thinking about? If you
could push a magic button and have your greatest dreams
fulfilled, what would they be?
• Following your dream gives your life focus and purpose. The
dream can be anything you want it to be. Your dream could
be becoming a waitress, working at a bank, being an artist,
teacher, lawyer, writer or maybe even becoming the
President of the United States.
Analyze yourself…..??
• Who are you?
• What interests you?
• What do you like to do?
• What are you good at doing?
• What do you value, what's important to you?
• What are your special assets, skills, and abilities?
• Who needs the talents, skills, and abilities you can
provide?
• What work environment and/or arrangements
make sense for you?
• What activities do I find fun, motivating,
interesting, and enjoyable?
• What skills do you need to acquire to develop and
manage your career?
• What personal style or characteristics do I have that
are important to me in the workplace?

Success Story
Michael Jordan
Basketball superstar Michael Jordan was cut from
his high school basketball team. He once said, “I
have missed over 9,000 shots in my career. I have
lost almost 300 games. On 26 occasions I have been
entrusted to take the gam winning shot, and I have
missed. I have failed over and over and over again in
my life. And that is why I succeed.”
Success story
Walt Disney
Did you know that Walt Disney was once fired by a
newspaper editor for lack of ideas? And he also
went bankrupt several times before he built Disney
Studios, Disneyland and later Disneyworld
Conclusion

Everybody has goals and dreams. These dreams are at the center of who
you really are. It is the core essence of who you are as a person, and the very
purpose of your BEING. What you are dreaming of accomplishing in your
life is God’s way of getting you involved in his Master Plan. You were gifted
with a set of dreams and talents, in the hope that you would act out these
passions, follow your dreams and thusly move forward in life. It’s really a
great pity that we’ve been told already since early childhood that we should
stop dreaming and start “living.” What a mistake! Living IS dreaming! This
is exactly why we are here: to pursue our dreams! Not for selfish reasons, but
for the sake of everybody.
